Opportunity - Write Non-fiction reviews
A.J Kirby has been appointed as the new editor of Itchy Leeds, and is looking for writers to help him to compile next year's book. At first, he'll be asking all writers to submit their short venue reviews for the book. These need to be 80-100 words... and here's the fun part. Those 80-100 words are yours to say exactly what you want to say about the place in question. Imagine you're describing the place to a good friend that's never been to Leeds before, or to that place... What are your first impressions? What's good/ bad about your place? Leeds is your oyster. Be funny, be clever, be insightful. It would be great if we could find some pearls out there...
It Could be You
Over the course of the next couple of months, A.J Kirby is responsible for the compilation of all of the reviews for the next Itchy Leeds book, for submitting longer features and reviews for the website, and generally being the eyes and ears for the city of Leeds. So he's definitely going to need some help!
He's going to need spies that can infiltrate shops, clubs, bars, restaurants, pubs, cinemas, museums, art galleries and whetever else may be out there in Leeds. I'm going to need people that are witty, observant and can hold a tune. Okay, maybe not that last part. But seriously, if you do want to write, Itchy is a very good place to start... or carry on.
